Signal Vase

The Signal vase in satin hazelnut radiates energy, the handles touch the form in two discrete points framing the negative space. There is a real vibration to this vase, any arrangement would work well to continue its outward movement.

Wheel thrown from two sections and assembled to achieve the proper height and geometry. The handles are extruded coils and sculpted while quite wet to retain their shape and not crack. They are then carved to fit the forms perfectly and attached to dry very carefully over a 4-week period.
