This fascinating volume is the catalog that accompanied The Yves Saint Laurent exhibition held at the Petit Palais/Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, from March 11-August 20, 2010. It is the first comprehensive retrospective of Saint Laurent's life’s works and includes the exhibition of 250 garments from the collection of his foundation that he established with work and life partner Pierre Bergé. With a preface by Pierre Bergé, authors Chenoune and Müller explores the sources of inspiration that drove Saint Laurent’s continuous innovation, drawing upon painting, sculpture, theater, opera, literature, and cinema.
